How to train yourself for football (become a good footbal player)
There are many and lots of ways to increase your skill,stamina and power to become a good football player. The most important in football is the stamina.As a game is of 90 minutes u need to have at least 45 minutes of running or jogging capacity.The other things comes after stamina like skill,power,passing e.t.c
For this here are some ways(drills) to train yourself to become a good player.
- The Shuttle Run
This is one of the way to get your stamina or increase your running power.For this you need to start with cone 1 go to cone no.2 then again comeback to cone no.1 go to cone no.3 then come back to cone no.1 and so on....First do this drill with 4 to 5 cones then gradually increase your cones each day.
This is a very easy drill that increases your muscles strength.You need to jump from the ground and need to touch your chest with your thigh.Do this 10 times after every drill.
- Ladder Drill
The ladder drill encourages speed, agility, coordination and leg muscle strength.You can use anything to make a imaginary ladder laid on the ground .Begin by standing at the bottom of the ladder with your feet shoulder width apart. Step into the first square with your left foot first, then immediately with your right foot. Step on the outside of the second square with your left foot first, then your right foot on the other side of the square. Step back inside of the second square with one foot at a time, then back to the outside on the fourth square. Continue this pattern until you reach the top of the ladder, then run in a straight line back to starting position.
Do this drill 5 times after each drill.
- Box Jump
Box jumps will help you to promote power and muscle building as the vertical power jumps do, but with a little variation.There are many variation of box jump.This one will help you alot and its easy to do.First start by standing in one of the box then jump to the edge of the box and repeat it to the other box.Remember on landing your body should be in 90 degree position.
The drill that i used to do are:
Donkey Drill( i say): In this drill you need to carry a person in your shoulder.Then start from the standing position you need to lean down ( like you are sitting in an imaginary chair).then again stand up.Continue this process 10 times a day.
Frog jump: Like a frog with your leg on the ground sit down but dont touch your butt on the ground . Jump to the Highest point you can landing on sitting position on your leg.
There are many other drills apart from these drills.But mainly i focus in these drills.
